Blume helps users study by saving learning sessions, chat messages, settings, and uploaded learning materials. This policy describes the data handled by the app and its service providers.
We use this data to authenticate users, provide tutoring responses, retrieve relevant material context, keep learning history available, manage Synapse balances, process purchases, prevent fraud and abuse, secure model-call access, and support the app.
Uploaded materials and chat content may be sent to subprocessors so the tutoring features can work. OpenRouter processes chat completion requests. OpenAI processes embeddings for uploaded text so the app can retrieve relevant passages.
Blume does not use collected data to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Settings. This removes the Clerk account and account-linked Convex records, including sessions, messages, uploaded materials and files, learner memory, progress, readiness data, settings, and usage/billing history stored in Convex. The deletion is processed in bounded server-side batches and cannot be undone.
PostHog analytics and Adapty/App Store/Google Play purchase records are managed by those providers and are not removed by this in-app Convex/Clerk deletion action. Some provider, fraud-prevention, legal-compliance, payment, or service-integrity records may be retained as described in their applicable policies.
Blume uses Convex for backend storage and functions, Clerk for authentication, OpenRouter for chat model processing, OpenAI for embeddings, and Adapty for purchases and subscription analytics.
